Global Exploring Nature Conservancy Foundation (GENCF) is offering a full-time, career-defining opportunity to work hands-on in wildlife journalism, community engagement, and conservation communication. 

We are looking for one self-motivated and driven individual ready to bring the voice of the wild to the world.

 

What You’ll Work On

You’ll be an integral part of GENCF’s most impactful initiatives:
📸 GENCF Photographer of the Year (POTY) – Assist in event management, storytelling and coordination.
📖 Whispering Wilds – Wildlife Magazine – Take ownership as Co-ordinator cum Asst. Editor
🎙️ Jungle Chimes – Lead interviews, symposiums, podcasting & film research. Work closely with our Production house and do thorough research for Film Making.
📱 Work closely with our Digital Marketing and Social Media Team to amplify reach and impact.


 

 💼 Key Responsibilities

        Social Media & Community Management

  • Build and manage GENCF’s Facebook Community and "Nature Guardians" initiative.
  • Plan and schedule meaningful content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our Mobile App.
  • Engage with followers, moderate discussions, and drive digital conversations.
     

🎤 Jungle Chimes – Expert Talk Series & Podcast

  • Create and manage platforms for student engagement, talks, and online symposiums.
  • Conduct interviews with wildlife experts, contributors, students, and researchers.
  • Assist in film project research and collaborate on pre-production content
     

🦜 Whispering Wilds – Wildlife Magazine

  • Write feature stories, blog posts, and editorial pieces on wildlife and environmental issues.
  • Communicate effectively with contributors, readers, advertisers, and brand collaborators.
  • Create and manage a segmented client database for improved communication and outreach.
  • Develop a business model for print media circulation, advertising partnerships, and subscription growth.
  • Participate in editorial meetings, ideation sessions, and content planning.
  • Offer administrative support: file organization, database updates, and subscription tracking.
  • Network with wildlife organizations and field experts to source high-quality content.


 

🛠️ Required Skills

         ✅ Excellent & Profeciant English – spoken and written.

         ✅ Intermediate spoken Hindi
        ✍️ Strong command of creative, presentations, report, and article writing in English
       📲 Working knowledge of digital marketing trends, analytics, and engagement tools
        🎨 Proficiency in Canva for basic visual design
        📷 Experience with Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Premiere Pro for photo/video editing
 

 

🎓 Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in Mass Communication / Journalism / Digital Media.
  • A genuine passion for wildlife conservation and environmental awareness.
  • Bonus: Experience in wildlife photography and filmmaking.
  • Comfortable with hands-on wildlife training and on demand travel.
